CRIMINAL DEFENSE

Larman Law provides criminal defense for individuals charged in Dallas, Rockwall, Kaufman and Hunt Counties. Cases in other counties are accepted on a case by case basis.

Larman Law is available to represent clients in felony and misdemeanor cases, including offenses such as driving while intoxicated (DWI), possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, theft, white collar offenses, and assault.

APPEALS

Criminal appeals, civil and family appeals, and petitions for discretionary review. Due to the nature of these cases, Larman Law provides these services throughout the State of Texas. Jason Larman is Board Certified in Criminal Appeals through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

WRITS OF HABEAS CORPUS

11.07, Felony, and Misdemeanor writs of habeas corpus for post-conviction relief. As with appeals, Larman Law provides these services to individuals throughout the State of Texas.

After the appeal ends, a writ of habeas corpus may be the only means of challenging a conviction. Most successful cases involve new evidence discovered later or not presented at trial, or a change in the law related to the case.

EXPUNCTIONS

Larman Law provides expunction and nondisclosure services for individuals charged in Dallas, Rockwall, Kaufman, and Hunt Counties. Cases in other counties are accepted on a case by case basis.

Texas law permits expunction of an arrest in some cases, resulting in the destruction or deletion of records related to the arrest, almost as if it never occurred.

When an arrest does not qualify for an expunction, it may instead qualify for an order of nondisclosure, effectively sealing the records from the general public. An arrest subject to an order of nondisclosure may still be visible to certain agencies, including law enforcement and governmental entities.
